Goals of the Meeting:
The overall theme of the meeting was “Using Advances in Computer and Information Technology to Strengthen the Tree of Life Assembly and Distance Collaborative Processes”.
Embedded in this overall theme were the following general areas of concentration:
- Distance collaboration methods and social networking.
- Biodiversity mega project relevant to AToL and/or reliant on phylogenetic information generated as a result of AToL projects.
- Expanding the role of morphological data in phylogenetic reconstruction.
- Advances in phylogenetic analysis methods, tools and services available to AToL projects.
- Broader Impacts of AToL Research.
