Report of the Annual Meeting of the Assembling the Tree of Life (AToL)

Approximately 110 Principal, Co-Principal Investigators, Postdocs, and Graduate Students funded through the National Science Foundation’s Assembling the Tree of Life (ATOL) Programs Assembled at the St Charles Hilton in New Orleans for their biennial meeting.

The meeting consisted of a series of short presentations on Friday to announce projects that have been funded in the last two years, followed by morning and afternoon “break-out” sessions in which meeting participants divided into two groups to listen to focused talks, and to discuss particular issues. The meeting also features 1 hour presentations from several guest lecturers to underscore the theme of the meeting.
